Part 3. Assistive Elements Options

Part 3 is a list of additional elements beyond the foundational (Part 1) and assistive (Part 2) elements. They are not required in ESA but are often used for habitual diagramming or easier understanding.

Part 4. Cloud Solution Elements

Refer to the specific cloud platform’s middleware, products, or services when designing the detailed cloud solution(s). Here is an example ESA mapping of the Google Cloud middleware and services. Mapping to other cloud platforms is similar.

Note that ESA is designed for a holistic view of your enterprise solution rooted in simplicity and significance, so your cloud solution design needs to be elevated to a meaningful ESA model to facilitate your overall architectural thinking.
