Why does ESA not cover a more detailed level of elements?

Simple answer:

  • Its abstraction level is enterprise solution architecture
  • It only architects the significant parts of the solution to avoid complexity.

  • It's better for AI collaboration, letting AI handle the more detailed design.

  • It's an end-to-end solution model, connecting both EA and solution design. It is an architectural governance model, not a design model

In short, experience proves that a complete, complex model defeats its purpose. From the other end, a simpler model won't be able to serve the ESA's purpose for effectively dealing with the cost of change.
